Course Objectives Course is aimed to increase students' awareness of sterilization and disinfection concept, to learn methods, to take infection precautions and what to do to protect patients
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define sterilization and disinfection
  • Explain the difference between sterilization and disinfection methods
  • Explain asepsis and antisepsis techniques
  • Define “hospital infection” and what to do to prevent it.
  • Describe parts and management of central sterilization unit
  • Define hospital waste and their potential danger.
Course Description The course includes sterilization disinfection methods, central sterilization units, hospital infection and hospital wastage.
